Tom Southall To Be 2012 Blyth Lecturer

Tom Southall will present, “Paralympic Possibilities: After You’ve Proven You Can Do It”, at the 2012 Blyth Lecture on April 17th from 11-12 in Fetzer Hall 109 on the UNC Campus.  Tom is from Colorado and has long successful track record in athletics, teaching, coaching and most recently working with paralympic athletes and wounded warriors.  Tom’s presentation will focus on the journey taken by people with physical challenges as their sense of self begins to consider what is possible.  Changes in a person’s physical ability are seen as problems to be solved in dealing with daily life and soon many are ready to challenge themselves at levels they have never tried before.  Come be inspired!
